All Bengal’s Men’s Forum (ABMF) updates its website

The Kolkatta-based All Bengal’s Men’s Forum (ABMF) now boasts of a revamped website, which should be complimented for a well-designed layout. The website, however, lacks a Bangla version as of now, which is a pity.

The new website was announced on social media on October 18, 2025, by Ms. Nandini Bhattacharjee—the founding President of this non-governmental, non-profit outfit. The website points out that ABMF was founded in 2018 as the state of West Bengal’s ‘first men’s welfare organization’, launching its Legal Clinic in 2019, followed by Counselling Services the next year and Digital Outreach programme the year thereafter. The website claims that the organisation now provides full range of services intended to empower victimised males.
In a drop-down menu, the website lists ‘Legal Support’, ‘Trauma Support’, ‘Counselling & Support’, ‘Fatherhood Programs’, ‘Peer Support’, and ‘Mentorship’ as the options.
Bhattacharjee has long described herself as a ‘Men’s Rights Activist’—dedicating the past several years of her life to fighting (what one can call) India’s sexist laws, which provide some exclusive protections to girls and women (and are thus far from gender-neutral).

In terms of on-the-ground action, Bhattacharjee and her colleagues and supporters have reached out, in the state of West Bengal, to boys and men falsely accused of women’s harassment or abuse—often via recourse to the sexist laws.
ABMF also has a women’s cell—called ABMF Narishakti (or ABMF Women’s Force)—which is headed by Ms. Chaitali Karmakar (whose official title is that of a Co-Ordinator for that cell). From the website, it is unclear what this cell does.
An interesting feature of this organisation is that it has a woman, Bhattacharjee, heading it—and other than Karmkar, the rest of the subordinate team is male.
Old style feminists wherefore do have something to celebrate in ABMF.
