Gender violence mitigation: September 12, 2025 is the deadline to apply for GVR-CN’s free online workshop on improving grant proposals
Gender Violence Research and Collaboration Network (GVR-CN) will soon organise a free online workshop on how to improve grant proposals so that they may have a better chance of success at receiving funds or any other type of support from an agency. The last date to register for this one-hour workshop—to be led by Elizabeth Wardle & Dr. Coretta Jonah—is September 12, 2025.
To be held on September 26, 2025, this will be an interactive workshop requiring prior registration and submission of proposal excerpts via Google Forms through this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeF4pk4rp0uGw5i73BcOeCZMUOmp5enJAVFKdRu7Que2uwgiw/viewform
The requested excerpts should be between 200-400 words; they will be anonymised before being discussed.
The workshop will start at 12:00 PM GMT+1 on September 26, 2025. (That would be 11 AM UTC; 3 PM MUT; 4:30 PM IST; 1 PM SAST; 2 PM AST; 5 PM BST; 12 PM DRC West; and 1:00 PM DRC East.)
In its social-media post advertising this workshop, GVR-CN has noted that the workshop will select only a few of these submission for its discussion—which will focus on analysing whether the proposals have been framed clearly; whether the budget is justified; and whether the actions promised in a proposal connect with the outcomes it promises.
