Nov. 13-14, 2025 (Hybrid Workshop): Changes in Chinese Museums

The Arezzo campus of the University of Siena’s Department of Philology and Literary Criticism will host an international workshop titled ‘Museums in Motion: New Frontiers in Chinese Museum Studies’ through November 13-14, 2025.

The venue for the event is as follows: Logge del Grano Hall, Piazzetta Logge del Grano 5, 52100 Arezzo, Italy.

To be attended by a wide range of experts and practitioners on museums, specifically those of China, this in-person as well as online event will discuss the state of museums in China in contemporary times and what it is that they are seeking to represent. The attendees are likely to focus on China’s ‘innovative curatorial strategies, digital experimentation, and cross-cultural exchange’, bringing out the implications of the underlying ‘heritage politics’.
