October 18, 2025 (USA): Anti-Trump #NoKings rallies expected; RSVP link enclosed

Americans are uniting against a perceived effort by President Donald Trump to alter the U.S. Constitution to allow him a third presidential run, as well as against the broader rise of federal intervention and authoritarianism in their country’s governance

A nation-wide call has been made to assemble and rally peacefully on October 18, 2025, against these authoritarian tendencies and specifically to reject any bid by President Trump to extend his rule or expand his administration’s country-wide power grab while weakening or removing time-tested guardrails and institutional watchdogs.

Digitally promoted as #NoKings, the call for this nation-wide movement on October 18 also has a website where Americans can register their interest in joining it (which would also help the organisers, per their own social media indications): https://mobilize.us/s/4kVNQz

(That link won’t be accessible from outside the United States sovereign territories.)

It should be noted that the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (ratified in 1951) limits a person to being elected President no more than two times.

However, on March 30, 2025, the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) News reported that Trump had told them in a phone interview that he was ‘not joking’ about trying to serve a third term.

Trump had teased about this prospect previously, and has continued to do so, going back and forth—even as some of his supporters (Steve Bannon and Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee, for example) remain vocal and clear-eyed that he should do whatever may be necessary to get him to extend his presidency beyond the current term.
