September 17, 2026, deadline: SVRI data analysis grant focussing on violence against women and child sexual violence

The Pretoria-based Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) is inviting applications for its 12-months-long Data to Evidence Grant 2027 for researcher teams located in low- and middle-income countries for the sake of generating new evidence on violence against women as well as sexual violence against children through secondary analysis of existing data.

This grant programme’s full official title is SVRI Data to Evidence Grant 2027: Knowledge for Action to End Violence Against Women and Child Sexual Violence. The deadline to make the application is September 17, 2026, 11:59 PM South African Standard Time (SAST). Applications can be made in English, French or Spanish.

Given that the SVRI has a funding of USD 400,000 for this round, the organisers predict that they will select somewhere between 8 and 13 application, with a single grant expected to be somewhere between ‘USD 30,000 and USD 50,000.’
