Newsletter submissions: African Technology Policy Studies Network sets November 30, 2026, deadline

by Piyush Mathur

The Nairobi, Kenya-based African Technology Policy Studies (ATPS) Network has put out a call for evidence-based policy submissions for the 32nd issue of its newsletter. The deadline for making a submission is November 30, 2026.

The submissions may range between 500 and 800 words of ‘opinion pieces’ or up to 1200 words of ‘research articles’; no submission should have been published previously, and all selected ones will be reviewed by the Network’s editors before being published. Do include a statement with your submission that you consent to its publication in the ATPS Technopolicy Newsletter.

As for the themes, they may relate to any specific opinions or findings involving ‘technology, policy, and sustainable development’ in Africa. In a LinkedIn post advertising the call, the Network stated the following: ‘We are seeking insightful, evidence-based and original articles that explore how technology and innovation can inform policy, address development challenges and advance sustainable development across Africa.’

Send your submissions as a Word document and in the Portable Document Format (PDF) to both these addresses at the same time: smburu@atpsnet.org and executivedirector@atpsnet.org

Before a submission is published, its author or authors may be asked to sign a consent form.

The publication outlet in question is officially titled Technopolicy Africa, and is freely downloadable as PDF. Take a look at its previous issues at this link:

Established in 1994 as a secretariat within the International Development Research Centre’s East and Southern Africa Regional Office, the ATPS Network became an independent African organisation in August 2001, and was accorded full diplomatic status in Kenya on December 3, 2003. The Network credibly describes itself as an independent international entity; its precise Kenyan legal registration category and registration number, however, could not be independently established by Thoughtfox from the publicly available documentation reviewed.
