August 14, 2025 deadline for African Union Media Fellowship Programme

Yep, the deadline to apply for the African Union Media Fellowship Programme is right on the nose!

Open to all sorts of content creators (but ‘especially those with newsroom experience’) who are citizens of an African Union (AU) member state, the African Union Media Fellowship Programme will continue to accept applications until August 14, 2025!

The eligible applicant has to be at least 25 years of age, 6 of which must have been spent already creating media content.

The eligible applicant may be fluent in any AU official language, even though the fellowship programme itself uses English as ‘the working language’.

Beyond that, of course the applicant will be more competitive than others if his or her content has had a greater impact—and reflects ‘innovation’ and ‘talent’.
