February 8, 2026 (India): Lucknow Farmers Market’s Spring Carnival

by Piyush Mathur

The India-based ‘green’ events and ‘organic’ products hybrid platform Lucknow Farmers Market (LFM) will organise its Spring Carnival in Lucknow—the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh—on February 8, Sunday, this year.

The organisers began circulating the digital poster for the carnival earlier today.

The poster promises live music and organic merchandise—including food, fashion, handicrafts, and daily usage items.

There will also be a so-called ‘Sustainable Fashion Show’ and some product launches, showcasing ‘green’ innovations; a Valentine vibe is hinted at in the poster. It is unclear how all these events and activities would be satisfactorily packed into a span of 11 hours, given that the function will start at 10 AM and end at 9 PM.

The venue for the event is Habibullah Estate, Hazratganj.

While it does not seem mandatory, people may register for the event for free via this link (though that would mean giving one’s contact information to the organisers): https://www.lucknowfarmersmarket.com/event-details/lucknow-farmers-market-spring-edition/form

The email address for the organisers is as follows: marketing@lucknowfarmersmarket.com

The organisers have also provided the following two contact phone numbers: (+91) 895-392-1113 & (+91) 895-392-1118

The LFM website tells the reader that it started out at the same physical venue in 2015 ‘as an annual event linking farmers, grass root entrepreneurs and artisans to conscious consumers’, growing into ‘nearly monthly markets October to March’ by 2018, and then into monthly markets from January 2023, when it also marked its presence across the key social media platforms.

The English-only website—heavy on selling merchandise within the context of a Hindi-speaking state—stresses promotion of sustainability and circular economy as central to its agenda.

But for a state that has been persistent in promoting metaphysical fantasies and wasting resources on various styles of worship, the Lucknow Farmers Market’s Spring Carnival does seem like a hugely promising, progressive endeavour.
