Global citizens can meet virtually with Israeli hostages’ families

The website for the Tel Aviv-based Hostages and Missing Families Forum (HMFF) has opened a portal through which global citizens can book a virtual appointment with one family member of any one of those Israeli citizens who were violently abducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and have not yet been able to reunite with their families.

Although this is an upcoming event, the website does not mention its date (which may have to be coordinated between or among the attendees). The online form does mention that this is to be a one-hour event that would include ‘a virtual tour of “Hostages Square” in Tel Aviv, followed by a heartfelt conversation with a hostage’s family member.’

To be conducted in English as well as Spanish, this is to be a free-of-charge event requiring the attendees’ familiarity with Zoom.

The online registration form requires the appointment seeker to mention his or her full name, email address, phone number, and country.

An appointment seeker may also put in an application on behalf of a group, and request to ‘Arrange a group session’. The form mandates that a clear choice be made in that regard.

The registration form can be accessed via this link: https://stories.bringthemhomenow.net/online-sessions

A non-governmental initiative, the HMFF has been trying its best to prevent the world from forgetting the acute misery of the Israeli abductees within the broader context of Palestine’s unfolding genocide—ostensibly a result of the war waged by Israel to retrieve them.
