July 21, 2025: ‘Witch hunts and human rights abuses in Kano State’, a public roundtable organised by AfAW

Supported by Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission’s (NHRC), Dr. Leo Igwe’s organisation Advocacy for Alleged Witches (AfAW) will hold a roundtable discussion titled ‘Witch hunts and human rights abuses in Kano State’ on July 21, a Monday.

The discussion will take place at the NHRC’s Kano office, located at 12 New Hospital Road, Gyadi-Gyadi (Plot 313). AfAW will be represented at the event by Mr. Dooyum Dominic Ingye.

The event will start at 10 AM—and is open to the public free of charge.

The NHRC Kano office—located at Plot 313 in Gyadi-Gyadi—is headed up by Mr. Shehu Abdullahi (ADI), according to the NHRC website.
