WAIE’s list of 100 brilliant women in ‘AI ethics’ for 2025
by Piyush Mathur
As AD 2025 draws to a close, Thoughtfox readers may want to take a look back at the Women in AI Ethics’ (WAIE) list of ‘100 brilliant women’ contributors to the field of AI Ethics. This list was put out when the year was in its infancy—and it would be interesting to see what profiles its updated version would include in the coming year.

The link to the list is this: https://womeninaiethics.org/the-list/of-2025/
The list provides the face photos and full names of the selected women; these images, however, are not clickable and there are no further details immediately available for the listed individuals. The list suggests, though, that each of these figures has a LinkedIn account, which interested observers could follow if they are themselves on LinkedIn.
The WAIE website includes lots of other details, resources related to the field of women and AI Ethics.
There is also a list of 20 ‘Rising Stars’ within the field for this year; the profiles listed here are clickable: leading to further details about those listed.
WAIE’s website indicates that it ‘is a fiscally sponsored project of Social Good Fund’, a California-based nonprofit.
