by Piyush Mathur
The UK-based University of Brighton’s Centre for Applied Philosophy, Politics and Ethics (CAPPE) will hold a free webinar titled ‘Acts of Citizenship’ on October 28, 2026. The event is the first in a series called ‘Chinese Citizenship Webinars’.
In this event, students and researchers will get together online to discuss two specific texts related to the topic. One of those texts is Engine F. Isin’s chapter ‘Theorizing Acts of Citizenship’ from the co-edited volume, Acts of Citizenship (Zed/Bloomsbury, 2013); another is a review of that book.
This 2-hour webinar will commence at 12:00 UK time, which is 20:00 Beijing time.
One can request copies of the two readings by sending a request to this address: C.Wang@brighton.ac.uk
