May 31, 2026, is the deadline for free African AI bootcamp
by Piyush Mathur
If you are currently enrolled at a university in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa (or have graduated from one in any of these countries within the last 3 years) then you are eligible to apply for the African Technology Forum (ATF) AI Challenge!
This basically involves your being able to get into an AI-skills bootcamp (called ‘AI School’), leading to your successful development of a practical project based upon what you would have learnt over the course of a duration—depending upon your capacity and commitment.
While you do not need to have any prior coding experience to be eligible to apply, you do have to be passionate about technology and AI—and be able to commit ‘5-10 hours per week during the AI School’, according to AFT’s guidelines.
This whole experience will cost you nothing except your time and energy; moreover, depending upon your level of excellence during the camp, you will be placed as an intern at an appropriate corporation or other body after the completion of your project.
So, what are you waiting for? Check out the following link, carefully read the guidelines, and apply before May 31, 2026:

All the best!
