February 9, 2026, is the deadline for Mythbusters Fellowships (REMOTE) in Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali, and Niger

Code for Africa, a pan-African nonprofit network of digital democracy labs and data journalism initiatives, has set February 9, 2026, as the application deadline for its second cohort of Mythbusters Fellowships, which carry a stipend. These fellowships will be offered on a part-time basis and run for 6 months. A successful candidate may be fluent in English or French.

This second cohort will include eight fellows, and the fellowships will target Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali, and Niger.

The intention behind this project is to select and train nano- and micro-influencers located in these 5 countries in quality journalism.

It may be useful to know that there is another deadline, of February 6, for as many 23 such fellowships for ‘community influencers in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal.’
