September 20-21, 2025: Nippon’s Ryukoku University to host JAGR’s annual conference on geopolitics, international affairs

Under the aegis of the Japan Association for Geopolitical Research (JAGR), the Kyoto-based Ryukoku University will host the 2025 Annual Conference on Geopolitics and International Affairs through September 20-21, 2025.
The conference is titled ‘Rethinking the Global Order: New Perspectives on International Relations’, and the programme reflects very strong Asian and European representations—ranging from Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and China to the UK.

The presentations promise to include a focus on the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in geopolitics; there are presentations also on educational and academic forms of diplomacy.
An intriguing presentation, titled ‘Cognitive Warfare - The Battle for your Brain’, is expected to be made by Jonas Togel, from the Germany-based University of Regensburg (Universität Regensburg).
